Job Description
We are seeking energetic and result-driven Sales Officers to manage territory sales and ensure strong product presence in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about achieving sales targets, growing retail footprints, and building relationships across distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities

Manage primary and secondary sales within an assigned geographic area.

Appoint and support distributors, wholesalers, and retailers to ensure product availability.

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by the company.

Implement promotional schemes, product launches, and trade marketing initiatives at the ground level.

Visit markets regularly to collect feedback, monitor competitor activities, and identify new sales opportunities.

Ensure retail visibility through merchandising, branding, and point-of-sale material deployment.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports using CRM or reporting tools.

Maintain healthy relationships with channel partners and resolve any trade-related concerns.

Coordinate with supply chain and marketing teams to ensure smooth execution of sales plans.

Educate trade partners on product features, pricing, and incentive schemes.
Qualifications and Skills Required
-
Graduate in any stream; an MBA in Marketing/Sales is an added advantage.

1–4 years of FMCG sales experience in general trade or modern trade.

Strong knowledge of sales techniques, market mapping, and product placement.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with FMCG distribution models, beat planning, and sales tracking.

Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
Preferred Background

Prior experience in sectors such as food & beverages, personal care, household products, or over-the-counter (OTC) goods.

Experience working with leading distributors, stockists, and retail chains.
Location
