Job Overview:
A reputed packaging manufacturing company is hiring a seasoned AGM/DGM – Head Plant Accounts to take full ownership of plant-level financial and accounting operations. The role requires strategic financial oversight, cost control expertise, and regulatory compliance to ensure optimal efficiency and profitability of the manufacturing unit.
This is a leadership role for finance professionals with deep experience in industrial or packaging units, capable of managing accounts independently at the plant level.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the entire accounting function for the plant including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow management.

Ensure proper costing, inventory control, and cost optimization across departments.

Maintain accurate and timely books of accounts as per statutory requirements and corporate policies.

Monitor plant budgets, financial forecasting, working capital, and cost analysis.

Oversee internal audits, stock audits, statutory audits, and ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and Income Tax regulations.

Coordinate with corporate finance teams and auditors for monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings.

Supervise team members handling billing, MIS, ledgers, payable/receivable, and statutory filing.

Implement ERP-based financial systems and drive process improvement initiatives at the plant level.

Generate financial reports, dashboards, and KPI analysis to support business decisions.
Candidate Requirements:

CA/CMA qualified professionals with 12+ years of experience in manufacturing/packaging industry.

Strong knowledge of plant accounting, cost management, statutory laws, and ERP systems.

Excellent leadership and team management skills to drive the plant accounts function independently.

Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, SAP, or similar accounting software.

Must have handled audits, taxation, and financial reporting at a plant level.
Preferred Skills:

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage cross-functional teams.

Exposure to packaging or FMCG manufacturing units is a plus.
