Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Manager to join a reputed real estate and infrastructure company. The ideal candidate will lead procurement operations for construction projects, ensuring timely sourcing, cost-effectiveness, quality control, and vendor compliance. If you’re a strategic thinker with in-depth market knowledge and negotiation skills, this role offers a strong growth opportunity in India’s booming real estate industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with construction project timelines and budgets.

  • Source, evaluate, and finalize contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.

  • Ensure procurement of materials such as cement, steel, tiles, fixtures, plumbing, electrical items, and more.

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure material availability without excess holding or stock-outs.

  • Compare proposals, negotiate best prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines.

  • Track vendor performance and maintain approved vendor lists for civil and finishing materials.

  • Manage purchase orders, invoicing, and coordination with finance and site teams.

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to fulfill specific procurement needs.

  • Ensure legal, quality, and compliance standards are maintained throughout the procurement process.

  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and regular MIS reporting.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Supply Chain; MBA preferred.

  • 5–10 years of experience in procurement or purchase within the real estate/construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendors, pricing, and logistics.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor relationship management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and vendor agreements efficiently.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Tally), and procurement software.

  • Strong analytical skills and a results-driven approach.
